Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
MyGBPro helps small businesses manage and improve how they appear on Google and other online directories. This policy explains, in plain terms, what information we collect, why we need it, and what we do with it.
Information you give us
- Your name and email address when you create an account.
- Your password, stored only as a secure one-way hash.
- Business details you enter, such as address, phone number and services.
- Billing details if you subscribe. Card numbers are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
Information from Google
When you connect your Google Business Profile, you are asked to grant permission on Google’s own screen. Only then do we receive:
- Your basic Google identity — name, email address and profile picture, used to confirm which Google account is connected.
- Your Google Business Profile data — your business listings, their details, reviews, posts and performance statistics.
- Access tokens that let us keep working on your behalf without asking you to sign in again.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data such as browser type and IP address.
- Records of actions taken in the app, so changes can be traced and undone.
How we use your information
We use it only to run the service you signed up for:
- Show you how your business is performing in local search.
- Update your Google Business Profile — categories, services, opening hours, descriptions, posts and review replies — when you or your plan authorise it.
- Create and check listings for your business on other directories.
- Generate drafts of posts and review replies for approval.
- Send service emails, such as reports and alerts.
- Take payment and provide support.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Limited use of Google user data
MyGBPro’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In practice this means we use Google data only to provide and improve the features you can see in the app. We do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the service, for security reasons, or to comply with the law. We do not use it for advertising, and no human reads it except where you ask us to, where it is needed for security, or where the law requires it.
Who we share information with
We share only what is necessary, and only with providers who help us run the service:
- Hosting and database providers that store your account data.
- Search data providers used to check where your business ranks and whether your listings are live.
- AI providers used to draft post and review-reply text. Drafts are generated from your business details; the text is not used to train their public models.
- Our payment provider, to take subscription payments.
- Our email provider, to send service messages.
- Directories you ask us to submit to, which receive your business name, address, phone number, website and similar public details.
If our team acts on your account on your behalf, that work is recorded against the name of the person who did it, and you can see it in your change history.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is open. If you close your account, we delete your account data and stored Google tokens within 30 days, except where we must keep records longer for legal or accounting reasons.
Keeping your information safe
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored on managed, access- controlled infrastructure. Access is limited to people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.
Your choices
- Disconnect Google at any time. Remove our access from your Google Account permissions page, or disconnect from the Accounts page in the app. We then stop accessing your Google data and delete the stored tokens.
- See who has access. Your workspace settings list everyone who can open your account.
- Ask for a copy or deletion. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
- Undo changes. Changes we make to your Google profile are recorded and can be reversed.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
International transfers
Our providers may store and process data in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we rely on providers who offer appropriate safeguards for that transfer.
Changes to this policy
If we make a significant change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change materially affects you, tell you by email.
